Feasibility Study to address the requirement for access for all to the UCC Geography Building. This addressed wheelchair access in terms
of external access to the building and in terms of
internal circulation, together with other issues such
as best practice in terms of the provision of sanitary
installations within the building.
The Brief was expanded to address compliance with Fire Safety regulations (requiring the reconfiguration of the stairs) and the refurbishment of the Lecture Theatre

Total refurbishment including new seating, floor reconfiguration and new finishes, new wall finishes,
new acoustically designed ceiling, lighting, electrical fit-out,new air-conditioning plant and ductwork, together with
state of the art audio-visual fit-out, including outside broadcasting facilities.
The project was carried out on a fast-track programme to facilitate the start of the September 2008 academic
year of the UCC School of Medicine.

Feasibility Study to examine options and prepare outline proposals for
developing a future nucleus for the campus. Options were prepared for the development of two different sites.
The nucleus comprises administrative facilities, dining and kitchen facilities, Activities spaces, library,
chapel, classrooms, sports hall, hostel for 120 pupils and residential accommodation for 180 people for Summer
School and adult education courses.
In addition, the study examined the use of the College's land in respect of the layout and distribution of
sports pitches, tennis courts, play areas, etc.

symbiotic relationship with Educational and Child Care facilities.
